Skypunch Technology has created the world’s first cryptographically verifiable online voting system. At the heart of the system is an immutable digital ledger that enables ballot verification and election certification. This permits:
- Voters to return to the website at any time after having voted to submit a ballot verification code and confirm, cryptographically, that their ballot is unaltered.
- Election managers to run a similar verification process across batches of ballots to confirm cryptographically that they remain unaltered.
Not all verification is the same. This is not simply a seal or an attestation issued at the conclusion of an election that all appeared to proceed normally. Nor is it simply verification that an individual ballot is confirmed to be stored in a system. Rather, it is the result of having the ability to cryptographically audit the history of each ballot to be certain nothing was altered in any way after being committed to the system by voters.
